The fire-shaped icon of the Mother of God, which appeared in 598, remains one of the mysteries and wonders of the Christian faith, and, unfortunately, there is little information about the place where this phenomenon occurred. This divine image represents the Virgin alone, without the Infant Jesus, and Her face is turned to the right. A characteristic feature of this icon is the red robe of the Blessed Virgin, which served as the basis for its name — Ognevidnaya. The icon of the Fire-shaped Mother of God symbolizes the New Testament Church, and is also associated with the blood of the Lamb of the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, which was shed for the salvation of mankind. This holy image recalls sacrifice and grace, which are important aspects of the Christian faith. And despite the lack of detailed information about the place of appearance, the Fire-shaped icon remains an important symbol of faith and worship for Christians around the world, reminding them of God’s mercy and love for humanity.
