Prayer to all the Holy fathers on Mount Athos who have shone forth

O Venerable and God-bearing Athonite Fathers, most luminous earthly luminaries, who have gloriously shone forth from the desert soles of the holy Mount Athos in the Orthodox Church, and who have glorified the holy mountain of the universe of your life with kindness, and who have surprised the whole universe of high virtues with lightnings and miracles of divine brilliance. Now in the mortal west you have entered the grave carnally for a time, with your souls together with Christ, the Sun of righteousness, who are righteous, enlightens you, as the sun, in the kingdom of heaven; and your prayer, extending its rays to God the true Light, do not forget us, your spiritual children, who dwell in the nights of passion and tribulation, full of grace from above look down upon the radiance, for in the light of your virtuous life, who walk in the way of the commandments of Christ, we may be worthy to see the light of the unapproachable glory of God, praising together with you, in the Most Holy Trinity we glorify and worship God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit for endless ages. Amen.
