Prayer to St. Eleazar of Anzer, Wonderworker of Solovetsky

O our Venerable Father Eleazar, silent monastic life in the desert of Anzerstey, God’s chosen chief and founder! We beseech thee, O humble and unworthy one, that thy holy sepulchre may stand in the church of the Most Holy Trinity, by which this place may be sanctified and, for the sake of the prophetic grace that is in thee, be glorified; ask, O God’s servant, of the Almighty God, Who is worshipped in the Trinity, and who stands boldly before the faces of the saints, that He may grant our Orthodox people victory and victory, peace and approval to the Russian state, prosperity to the churches, and peace to all people, and prosperity and abundance of the fruits of the earth. Extinguish by your prayers the devil’s kindled streaks on us, so that the malice of the enemy may not touch us, so that having piously ended our temporary life, we may be worthy to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven and, together with you, glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
