Saint Evdokim of Cappadocia
Honoring the memory of Saint Evdokim, a native of Asia Minor. He lived in the IX century during the reign of Emperor Theophilus. He was appointed ruler of the Harsian region. The holy relics rest in Constantinople in the Church of the Most Holy Theotokos.
|Holy Martyr Veniamin (Kazan), Metropolitan of Petrograd, and with him the Venerable Martyr Sergius of Petrograd (Shein), Archimandrite, Martyrs Yuri and John of Petrograd||
is the day of remembrance of Metropolitan Veniamin of Petrograd and Gdovo (lay name - Vasily). He was arrested in 1922 during the persecution of the Church. He was shot along with Archimandrite Sergius (Shein), laymen Yuri Novitsky and Ivan Kovsharov on the outskirts of Petrograd.
