is the day of remembrance of Metropolitan Veniamin of Petrograd and Gdovo (lay name - Vasily). He was arrested in 1922 during the persecution of the Church. He was shot along with Archimandrite Sergius (Shein), laymen Yuri Novitsky and Ivan Kovsharov on the outskirts of Petrograd. |
