Celebration of the finding of the holy relics of Abbot Sergius of Radonezh. This event took place in 1422. They now reside in the Trinity Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
|Venerable Martyrs Grand Duchess Elisaveta and Nun Varvara (Yakovleva)||
Veneration of the Holy Princess Elisaveta - founder of the Martha and Mary Monastery in Moscow and one of the sisters of the monastery-Varvara. They were killed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. They were canonized in 1992.
