Feast of Saint Theophylact, Bishop of Nicomedia. He had the gift of miracle-working. For prophesying about the imminent death of the iconoclast Emperor Leo the Armenian, he was exiled to the fortress of Strovil (Asia Minor). He stayed there for 30 years, until his death. He died in 845. |
