Prayer to St. David of Gareja

O All-luminous, God-praising, Abba David, holy One of God! Thou didst appear to us by the power of a good law, bound and oppressed by the wiles of the evil one, as a guide in repentance and a helper in prayer. For this reason, many gifts of grace and miracle-working have been given to you, the remission of our sins and transgressions, the healing of diseases and the banishment of the devil’s slanders. May the Lord God raise up us, who have fallen into sin, by His invincible power against every visible and invisible enemy, through your arduous prayers and supplications, and above all through your unceasing intercession for us, the servants of God (names), so that we may thankfully celebrate your holy memory and desire to worship the Most Eternal One To the One God in the Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
