O most venerable and sacred head and full of the grace of the Holy Spirit, dwelling place of the Saviour with the Father, great Bishop, our warm intercessor, to Saint Jonah, standing before the Throne of the King of all, and enjoying the light of the consubstantial Trinity, and singing the trisagion hymn in cherubim with the angels, but having great and unexplored boldness towards the all-merciful Master, pray to the flock of Christ’s people to be saved, establish the well-being of the holy churches: adorn the bishops with the splendor of their prelacy, strengthen those who are monastics by the good deed, preserve the reigning city and all the cities and countries of the good, and beseech them to observe the holy immaculate faith, put the whole world to rest through your intercession, deliver us from famine and destruction, and preserve us from the attacks of strangers, comfort the old, instruct the young, and be wise, have mercy on widows, intercede for orphans, raise up infants, return captives, free those who are infirm and pray to you from all adversities and troubles by your intercession: pray for us to the All-merciful and Human-loving Christ our God, so that on the day of His Dreadful Coming He may deliver us from our hardships, and make us partakers of the joys of the saints with all the saints forever centuries. Amen.
