Prayer to St. Nicholas of Japan, Equal-to-the-Apostles

O great saint of Christ, equal-to-the-Apostles Saint Nicholas! Hear us, O servant of God ,and look upon our infirmities, and beseech the Most Merciful King of heaven, that he may not be very angry with us, and that he may not destroy us with our iniquities; but that he may have mercy on us, and save us according to His mercy; that he may plant in our hearts repentance, and the saving fear of God, and enlighten us with His by the grace of our mind, that you may leave us the paths of wickedness, and that you may steadily do the commandments of God, and keep the holy statutes of the Church. Pray, O benevolent God, Who loves mankind, that He may show us His great mercy and deliver us, who run to your holy icon in faith, from troubles and adversities, from infirmities of body and soul, and that He may vouchsafe us His Heavenly Kingdom for ever and ever.
