O sacred head, Venerable Father, Most blessed Abbo Paisie the Great! Do not forget your poor to the end, but always remember us in your holy and auspicious prayers to God. Remember your flock, which you yourself saved, and do not forget to visit your children; pray for us, our father, and now for your spiritual children, for you have confidence in the Heavenly King; do not be silent for us, crying out to the Lord, and do not despise us, who honor you with faith and love, but remember us unworthy, at the Throne of the Almighty, and do not stop praying for us to Christ our God, for grace was given to you to pray for us. We do not pretend that you are dead: for though thou didst pass away from us in body, yet even after thy death thou livest, remaining continually from us in spirit, preserving us from the arrows of the enemy and all the charms of devils and the wiles of the devil. Our good shepherd, if your relics are not always visible before our eyes, but your holy soul with the angelic hosts, with the impersonal forces at the Throne of the Almighty, is worthily rejoicing. For we are truly and after death, as I live and exist, we fall down and pray to you, and we pray to you for the benefit of our souls to the Almighty God, and ask for time to repent, and pass away from earth to heaven without being chosen, and from the bitter, bitter, and airy ordeals and be delivered from eternal torment, and be an heir to the Heavenly Kingdom with all who have pleased our Lord Jesus Christ from time immemorial, to Whom all glory, honor, and worship are due, together with His Beginningless Father and with His All-holy, Good, and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
