Prayer to the Holy Princess Anna of Novgorod

O most glorious, venerable Grand Duchess Anno, you have left your homeland and settled in the Russian land, and you have done great works for the establishment of the state. O Venerable Mother of God-wise Anno, named by the grace of your namesake, you shine in our land of miracles by your grace, you are a prayer book for all the people of Russia. Hear us who pray to you, even if we are sinners, but with faith we flow to your precious relics-the treasure of the Great New City – and revive our perishing souls, enlighten our eyes of the heart, pull us out of the depths of sin and guide us to the path of repentance. Put the fire of Divine love in our hearts, make our minds wise, enlighten our senses. Bring prayers to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Most Pure Mother, so that through your intercession they may preserve unharmed your city, which you have loved, and all the cities of our country, so that peace and truth, abundance and prosperity may reign in them, and so that we may be delivered from all the troubles that come upon the Russian land. Gather the scattered children of the Russian Orthodox Church together with your love and prayer, and let all heresies and schisms be abolished in it. Preserve love between people, bring peace of grace and joy to homes, ask our land for well-dissolved airs and abundance of fruits. Do not put to shame our hope, which, according to the Lord and the Most Holy Theotokos, we firmly place in you, but show us your intercession, so that we may praise, glorify, and magnify the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, to the ages of ages.
