Prayer to St. Euphrosyne of Suzdal

O most glorious Mother, our speedy helper and intercessor, and our ever-vigilant prayer book! As we stand before your icon and look upon it with emotion, as you are the most living, we fervently pray to you: accept our petitions and bring them to the Throne of the Merciful Heavenly Father, for you have much boldness in him. Ask eternal salvation and temporary prosperity for those who flow to you and all Orthodox Christians, and for all our good deeds and undertakings, a generous blessing, and speedy deliverance from all troubles and sorrows. To her, our child-loving mother! You, who stand before the Throne of God, know the essence of our spiritual and everyday needs: look upon us with your mother’s eye, and through your prayers turn away all evil from us, and even more so the multiplication of evil and God-defying customs. Establish, then, in all our faiths a concordant knowledge, mutual love, and unity of mind, so that in all our life, words, writings, and deeds, the all-holy Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, One God, may be glorified in the Trinity, to Whom honor and glory are worshipped for ever and ever.
