Prayer to St. Theodore and Paul of Rostov

O venerable fathers, pastors and teachers, our beatitudes Abbo Theodora and Abbo Paul! in the ancient summer, by the way of the Lord’s commandments, you have deigned to march to a desolate place, where, with the blessing and prayers of the beginning of your salvation, the Venerable and God-bearing Sergius, Wonderworker of Radonezh, you have raised up the most glorious abode of the holy Passion-bearers Boris and Gleb, in order to establish the piety of a monastic residence, and against the invisible enemies of our salvation, O Thou who most quickly adorn the Gods, adorning them with beauty by faith, hope, and love, but pleasing God by fasting, vigil, and prayers, and making them manifest to us in all piety for temporary life and eternal salvation. And now, O venerable fathers, do not sue us for visiting your children, in order to repel the slanders of the enemy from us: guide us and establish us in good deeds, guiding us to the eternal life of our soul. Prayerful mercies to the Giver and Lord of all things, that He may save us who have the message of fate, and make you heirs of eternal delight, so that we may continually glorify the All-holy Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in the endless ages of ages.
