Prayer to the Solovetsky Cathedral of Saints and Wonderworkers

O Divine regiment, Heavenly warriors of Christ the God, Reverend and God-bearing fathers of Solovki! Above all the gospel teachings, you have made your souls fruitful, and after that you have made this barren wilderness, for you have made it a sweet-blooming paradise. And there appeared these acceptable sacrifices to God, transformed by intelligent work, and in the Light of the Never-ending Light they beheld the glory of their future life. And having kindled their souls with the Divine Fire, they ascended to Zion Above, and received communion of the Uncreated Light. So you also intercede for our souls, who are on earth, salvation, abundance of earthly fruits, peaceful times, and good things. Yes, and we, unworthy ones, who are guided by your prayers now, at the end of our many-serene life, will love the eternal more than the temporal, and in our one-day hour we will work with zeal to the Heavenly Householder Christ, and we will hear His benevolent voice: “Come, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” And with heartfelt thanksgiving, let us shed tears of unspeakable joy and praise the Great and Revered Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
