O holy head, Venerable Father, Most blessed Abbo Macarius! Do not forget your poor people to the end, but remember us in your holy and auspicious prayers to God. Remember your flock, which you yourself saved, and do not forget to visit your children. Pray for us, holy father, for your spiritual children, for you have boldness toward the Heavenly King. Do not be silent for our love for the Lord, and do not despise us who honor you through faith and love. Remember us, unworthy ones, at the Throne of the Almighty, and do not cease to pray for us to Christ our God: for grace was given to you to pray for us. We do not pretend that you are dead: if you have passed away from us in your body, you are still alive after death. Do not turn away from us in spirit, protecting us from the arrows of the enemy, and all the charms of devils, and the machinations of the devil, our good shepherd. Even though your relics are always visible before our eyes, your holy soul rejoices worthily with the angelic hosts, with the bodiless faces, and with the Heavenly Powers at the Throne of the Almighty. For we who lead thee truly and after death are alive, we fall down and pray to thee: that we may pray for us to the All-powerful God for the benefit of our souls, and ask for time for repentance, and for an unselected transit from earth to heaven, but that we may be delivered from bitter trials, demons of the princes of the air, and eternal torments, and To Him belongs all glory, honor, and worship, together with His Father without Beginning, and His All-holy, Good, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
