Wonderworkers of Slavnia, doctors of bezrubodnia, Cosmo and Damians! You have loved Christ God from your youth, and have kept that commandment with all your heart, even if you have given yourself a teaching of medicine, but a virtuous one for the sake of life and purity of soul, by the power of Christ God, not only the art of healing, but above all the unspeakable blessing of giving healing to all ailments from God. By your love and mercy for those who are afflicted, you strive to heal diseases not only with people, but also with cattle; you fill the whole world with an innumerable multitude of your miracles; you heal not only bodily ailments, but also enlighten souls by the faith of Christ; you strengthen them in the treatment of diseases; you admonish them in serious illnesses to correct their lives; and you attract them to Christ by repentance. By the same token, you will soon hear us, young children, who are falling down to you before your venerable icon, asking for your help in the teaching of books, instruct us through your prayers, so that they may earnestly earn your life, and not acquire earthly teaching exactly, but even more so in piety and the right faith, so that they may prosper. To those who lie on their sickbed, to those who are desperate for human help, and to those who run warmly to you with faith and fervent prayer, grant the healing of diseases by your merciful, miraculous visitation. Those who fall into much thirst in sickness, and from severe infirmities into despondency, who have come in cowardice and murmuring, by the grace given to you from God, strengthen and instruct them in patience, so that they may understand the holy and good will of God concerning them, and commit themselves and their life to the will of Christ God. For those who are unworthy, but who do not rejoice in the correction of their lives, who do not repent of their sins, and who are hardened in heart, break in pieces for salvation and call to repentance, so that those who are weak in body may remain healthy in soul, and partakers of God’s saving grace. Keep the brethren of this Holy Temple, who have been entrusted to your Holy intercession from God, and all those who diligently run to you unharmed, from long service, from severe and incurable diseases, from weakness of the body, from delirium of the mind, from deadly plagues, from sudden death, and by your all-powerful intercession to God keep them firm in the right faith, and in piety prosper in good works diligent, in prayer to God diligent, may we together be worthy in the future eez to ever hymn and glorify the all-holy and glorious name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, unto the ages of ages. Amen.
