May God rise again, and His enemies be scattered, and those who hate Him flee from His presence. As smoke vanishes, so let them vanish; as wax melts from the presence of fire, so let the devils perish from the presence of those who love God and are marked by the sign of the cross, and say with joy: rejoice, Most honorable and Life-giving Cross of the Lord, who cast out devils by the power of the holy Lord Jesus Christ, who descended into hell and restored power to the devil, and who gave us to you Cross Your Honest one to drive out every foe. O Most Venerable and Life-giving Cross of the Lord! Help me with the Holy Lady the Virgin Theotokos and with all the saints forever. Amen.
