Prayer to the Holy Monk Elijah of Murom

O Holy Venerable Father Elijah! Holy intercessor of Russia, mighty warrior of arms, warrior of spirit and body, manifest yourself to her, who in your life faithfully served the good of the Russian people and the glorification of the Christian God, and after your repose did not leave your throne for us, ask, O holy One, from the All-merciful Lord, the King of our Fatherland, peace and prosperity, the church’s welfare, Orthodox people from the ungodly deliverance, victory as a Russian soldier in rateh, and defeat against the enemies who are plotting evil against the Church and the Orthodox Fatherland, but intercede for us all, and we also ask you, O holy One of God, to grant us understanding from God, so that we may know our sins, and spiritual strength, so that we may repent of our sins, and physical strength, so that we may have we must correct our lives and revive Holy Russia, and pass from it into the Kingdom of Heaven, so that together with you and all the saints we may be vouchsafed to continually praise in the Trinity the glorified God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever.
