O Holy Venerable Martyr Cornelius! We humbly fall down to the shrine of your relics and tenderly beseech you: mercifully look upon our sorrows of soul and body and grant us deliverance; help us, O holy One of God, from the slander of evil men, from whom you yourself innocently suffered on earth. Protect us from the violence of the devil, who is passionately fighting in our infirm circumstances, and beseech the Lord God and His Most Pure Mother to grant us a quiet and sinless life, mutual brotherly unfeigned love, and a peaceful Christian end, so that with a clear conscience we may stand before the unfeigned Dread Judgment Seat of Christ, and in His Kingdom glorify the Life-giving Trinity, the Father, the Son,and the Holy Spirit. forever and ever.
