O sacred head, our strong prayerbook and intercessor, Saint Theodosius, hear us who call upon you in faith and fall fervently before the shrine of your precious and many-healing relics (or: your icon). Remember us at the Throne of the Almighty and do not stop praying for us. We believe that our sins separate us from you, and that we are unworthy of only one father and intercessor. But you, being an imitator of the love of God for mankind, do not stop crying out to the Lord for us, but ask through your intercession from our Most Merciful God for the peace of His Church in the land of war, and through her shepherd for the power to earnestly strive for the salvation of men. Beseech the Heavenly Father to grant us all the gift that is needed in a foreign way, true faith, firm hope, and undiminished love, confirmation of our cities, peace of mind, deliverance from famine and destruction, preservation from the invasion of foreigners, good growth in faith for the young and infants, consolation and reinforcement for the old and infirm, healing for the sick, mercy for orphans and widows and intercession, correction to those who have erred, and timely help to those in distress. Do not put us to shame in our hope, but help us, as a father who loves children, and help us to bear the yoke of Christ in complacency and patience, and guide all in peace and repentance to end your life without shame, and to be an heir of the Kingdom of God, where you are now established with the Angels and all the saints, glorifying God, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
