Prayer of St. Paraskeva of Serbia

O beautiful bride of Christ, pure dove, gilded by the Holy Spirit, virgin praise and desert-breeding companion of Angels, who planted a mental paradise on earth by your virtues, Venerable Mother Paraskevo! What can we offer you as a worthy gift, except our humble and sinful supplications, which we have accepted, purifying me with your holy prayers and bringing them to your bridegroom, Christ our God! We delight thee, the beauty of the Serbian people, and our intercessor and guardian, whom the kings and princes praise. You, like a brave voivode, by the fortress given to you from the King of forces, turned back the faces of the enemies of your country with fear, and protect our Russian country by the power of your prayers from all the slander of visible and invisible enemies. Pray to God for us, O Venerable Mother, that He may not rebuke us with His fury, nor punish us with his anger for our many sins, but that He may protect us with His mercy and grant us time for repentance and correction. O Venerable Paraskevo, all those who have gathered in this church and are lovingly honoring your holy memory, overshadow your intercession and ask the King for the strength to stand before Him with the Angels, who are not well-needed in this temporary life, and above all help us to reach the kingdom of heaven in the future eez by your warm prayers and intercession to our Lord Jesus Christ, To him belongs all glory, honor, and worship with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.
