O sacred head, our venerable and God-bearing Father Cornelius! Thou, desiring all-diligently to serve the Lord and His Most Pure Mother, didst dwell in the land of Passion, and didst instruct us in the words of the God-wise Lucian, and didst follow in his footsteps, the people he founded, and do good. Without pity in your labors, vigils, prayers, and postures, having corrected the devilish machinations of men, you were a mentor to the monks, a zealous teacher to all the people, and a father who loves children. For now, after your departure from the earthly ones, standing before the Heavenly King, pray for His goodness, that you may protect the place of your settlement and your holy abodes, and that you may constantly abide in the spirit of your love; and that all people who come to your relics in faith may fulfill their good petitions. Ask our Most Gracious God to preserve the Holy Church from heresies and schisms. May He grant peace and quiet to our Fatherland, but may he extend the time for us to repent and correct our lives. Strengthen us in the observance of Christ’s commandments, so that when we have lived God-pleasing lives, we may be worthy to enter the eternal Kingdom of Heaven without conflict, where you, together with your teacher St. Lucian and all the saints, continually glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit to the ages of ages. Amen.
