Prayer to St. George, Wonderworker of Vladimir

O God-chosen wonderworker, most glorious Saint of Christ, champion of the Orthodox Church, defender of the Kingdom of Russia, Grand Duchess George! With bowed knees, we beseech thee: look upon us sinners who seek refuge in thy intercession, hear this little prayer of ours, and by thy warm intercession beseech the merciful God, Who stands with the faces of the angels and with all the saints, so that He may preserve us in the unity of the Orthodox Church and establish in our hearts the spirit of just faith and piety, and deliver us from every evil temptation. Because of your great love, which you have loved your neighbor, ask the all-merciful Lord for peace and prosperity for your Fatherland, and for our kupno; but for all of us who are unworthy and fall fervently before you, a God-pleasing and serene life. O our holy intercessor, do not leave us weak and helpless, pray for us to the Lord and Most Pure Lady Theotokos, encourage your God-glorified relatives, the holy Princes Andrew and Gleb, to pray for us, together with whom you rest with incorruptible relics on earth, and in heaven, at the Throne of the King of Heaven, so that He may grant us peace. May He not reward us according to our deeds, but through His unspeakable love for mankind forgive our trespasses, deliver us from all need and sorrow, tribulation and sickness; may He send down upon us the good intention and strength to strive for the correction of our life, and in the future eze May he vouchsafe us to enter into the Kingdom of heaven and glorify the All-holy Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
