O great and most glorious servant of Christ, Holy Father Ignatius! Graciously accept our prayers, which we offer to you with love and thanksgiving! Hear us who are desolate and helpless, who fall down to you with faith and love, and who ask for your warm intercession for us before the Throne of the Lord of Glory. Vema, how much can the prayer of the righteous propitiate the Lord. You have ardently loved the Lord from the time of your infancy, and having desired to serve Him Alone, you have counted all the glory of this world in nothing. Thou hast denied thyself, and I will take up thy cross; thou hast followed Christ. You have chosen the narrow and sorrowful path of the life of a monk by your own will, and on this path you have acquired great virtues. Through your writings you have filled the hearts of men with the deepest reverence and submission before the Almighty Creator, but through your wise words you have instructed the fallen sinners in the consciousness of their own insignificance and sinfulness, in repentance and humility to seek refuge in God, encouraging them by trusting in His mercy. You rejected all who came to you before, but you were a father who loved children and a good shepherd to all. And now do not forsake us, who fervently pray to you and ask for your help and intercession. Ask us from our Lord, who loves mankind, for health of soul and body, strengthen our faith, strengthen our strength, which is exhausted in the temptations and sorrows of this world, warm our hearts with the fire of prayer, help us, who are cleansed by repentance, to receive the Christian end of this life and enter the hall of the Saviour preukrashennyy with all the chosen ones and there we will worship together with you To the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.
