O great and wondrous Saint Athanasius the Wise of God of Christ, lampmaker of the Ecumenical Church, Lubensky and All Russia wonderworker and patron saint! From your youth you have abandoned all worldly life, guided us to God by love and spiritual prudence, you have admonished all men, saying: “What is riches to us, what is gold to us, glory and power? smoke spreading through the air, all that will disappear, all that will be carried by the wind! Let us have much wealth in the future Eetz.” Thus teaching, you yourself were generous, benevolent, meek, humble, and approachable to all. Thus also in thy dormition, O all-good Lord, enlighten thy incorruptible relics with innumerable miracles and glorify them. Pray to Christ God that our sins may be forgiven to us all, both voluntary and involuntary, and that we may be delivered from all enemies visible and invisible, from all troubles and sorrows, and from all infirmities. Pray that the Lord may be merciful to all of us, both here and in the future, and that our fathers and brothers, mothers and sisters, and our children may pass away from us, and that He may place us in the faces of the saints and give us rest in a place of light. With gratitude and love we magnify the glorified and obedient God in the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
