O our good shepherd and God-wise mentor, Venerable Father Paul! hear us sinners who pray to you and call for your speedy intercession to help us: see us sinners who are present in our present circumstances, see us who are weak, who are caught from everywhere, who are deprived of all good things and whose minds are darkened by cowardice: please us, O God’s servant, do not leave us in sinful captivity, so that we may not rejoice in our enemy and let us not die in our evil deeds. Pray for us, unworthy of our Co-benefactor and Master, Whom you stand before with the bodiless faces. Make our God merciful to us in the present age and in the future, so that He may not reward us according to our deeds or according to the uncleanness of our hearts, but according to His goodness He will reward us: for we trust in your intercession, we glory in your intercession, we call for your intercession for help, and, falling down to your death-bearing tomb, we ask for healing: deliver us O saints of Christ, protect us from the evil ones that come upon us, and tame the waves of passions and troubles that come upon us, so that for the sake of your holy prayers we may not be tempted to attack, and we will not wallow in the abyss of sin and in the mud of our passions. Pray, Venerable Father Paul, to Christ our God, that He may grant us a peaceful life, the remission of sins, salvation for our souls, and great mercy. Amen.
