Venerable Father Savvo, a desert ascetic, in the body of an angel, a warrior of Christ, a valiant man, a rule of faith, a confirmation of the church, an image of piety, a luminary of virtues, labor, fasting, abstinence, purity and chastity to the leader, a helper to all those in need, a wandering leader, a floating helmsman, a shelter for those who are overwhelmed, a weak helper, an intercession for the offended, a consolation for the sad, widows and to the poor in the veil, to the hungry for nourishment, to the naked for clothing, to the weeping for consolation, to the sick for healing, to the hopeless for hope, to the Christians of all intercession and protection; look mercifully upon us who fall down before your holy relics, listen to our prayers, and grant us the good things that we ask of you. Vemy, holy One of God, for you have boldness to the Master Christ God, and if you ask Him, it will be given to us. If you are also unworthy of His grace, let your prayer make us worthy of it, for the diligent prayer of the righteous can do much, as the apostle said. For thou thyself raise us up from the depths of sin, enlighten the infidels, turn heretics, guide those who have erred in us from Orthodoxy to the knowledge of the true faith, and send forth peace and holiness to the whole church, unity of mind in faith, stability of minds, competition in piety, unanimity in brotherly love, loyalty to the fatherland, loyalty to the powers that be, meekness and kindness to those in authority. love for mankind, but as a slave there is no obstinacy, as a parent there is good care for children, as a child there is fear and obedience, as a virgin there is purity and chastity, as a marriage there is faithfulness and immaculacy of the bed, as for all sinners there is repentance, as for those who repent, as for those who have misadventures there is patience and hope, and in the hope of salvation grant. Deliver us all from famine and destruction, from cowardice and deluge, from fire and sword, from finding strangers and internecine strife, and from the attacks of the enemy, and from pernicious winds, and from deadly plagues, and from vain deaths, and from all evil, so that all may be enlightened and instructed by you. We comfort, affirm, and preserve you, and we glorify you as God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and your intercession, always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
