Memorial: July 27 / August 8 Prayer for Help Prayer for healing Troparion, voice 4 Kontakion, voice 4 O holy servant of God, Venerable Father Theodosius! You, who loved Christ from your youth and followed Him Alone, went away to the Holy Mount Athos, to the inheritance of the Mother of God, and from there you flowed to the Holy Sepulchre. There, during his many years of holy ordination, he made fervent prayers for the Russian Land, for the Orthodox Church, and for the Russian people. When the hard times of godlessness befell Holy Russia, you left Mount Athos and Jerusalem and returned to your Homeland, sharing the grief and suffering of your people and our holy Church, as a monk and priest, even to the point of prison. Your faith, meekness, humility, and patience touched the hardened hearts of those who were imprisoned with you. During the years of war, Father, you helped the Orthodox people to overcome the enemy and foe, and you saved many who wanted to end their lives from despondency, grief and despair. Through your help, the faithful were strengthened in their hope, for the Lord will not forsake our Fatherland, the Mother of God will preserve Her inheritance, and the wrath of God will be fulfilled by Her prayers for mercy. Your laborious feat of Christ for the sake of foolishness surprised, Father, not only us on earth, but also the celestials who appeared to you. This is what the prayer of a righteous person, hastened by strong faith, can do. You know our needs and sorrows, Reverend Father Theodosius, and you also know our desire to be with Christ. Having passed through the narrow and thorny path of earthly existence, you carried a heavy yarem from your brothers, from infidels and fellow tribesmen. Remember us, O elder of God, at the throne of the Lord, for you have promised to help all who turn to you. The memory of you in the land of the Caucasus, Father, does not fail to this day: with faith and hope, Orthodox people flow to the place of your repose, asking for intercession and help. We beseech thee, Venerable Father Theodosius: Help us in the difficult hour of life, in moments of sorrow and suffering, and beseech the Lord, the Ruler of the World, that he may soften the evil and hardened hearts of men and pacify the peoples of the Caucasus. May the impious councils of schismatics and heretics who rise up against the Holy Russian Church be ruined. Through Your prayers, O holy One of God, may the Lord forgive us all our sins, and may the arrows of the enemy and the machinations of the devil pass us by. Ask the Creator and Provident of our life, the Lord, for time for repentance, deliverance from destruction, health for the sick, restoration for the fallen, consolation for the sorrowful, education for children in the fear of God, good preparation for those who depart to eternity, repose for the departed and inheritance of the Heavenly Kingdom. Be thou, O Father Theodosius, a patron and helper to all the faithful of the Caucasian land. May Holy Orthodoxy be strengthened and multiplied on it and throughout Great Russia. But we, strengthened by your holy prayers, will glorify the Life-giving Trinity and your God-sanctified name, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen. O Venerable and God-bearing Father Theodosius! Look upon us, sinners, who offer this supplication to you, and beseech the Lord Jesus Christ and His Most Pure Mother, Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, for us, that we may be delivered by healing from various physical and spiritual ailments, ailments, and corruptions, and that we may receive from the Lord God forgiveness of our trespasses, and acquire the Holy Spirit O Lord Who giveth life, for the remembrance of the battle against the adversaries, and for the pledge of the kingdom of our Heavenly Father. About Starche mystiknich and chudna! Stretch out your prayer rod and lead us away with your prayers from the wolves of your thoughts – from the hell of our sins and unseemly acts, our disobedience and disobedience, which we do every day and night, unseemly acts, for you are a mighty intercessor before the Lord and the Queen of heaven. We beseech thee, O living ones, and for the dead, that thou mayest also draw us out of Tartarus by the power of thy holy molebstviya, so that the gums of the sheep of Christ our God may be joined. Teach us, holy fool Theodosius, to think of the Holy Trinity, One Lord our God, Merciful and Saving, and One Pure and All-holy Virgin Mary, our Sovereign Lady and Mother. May the Comforter abide with us through your prayers, that he may deliver us from all defilement and make us partakers of the kingdom of our Father in heaven. To Him the All-expected and All-desired King, Creator and Lord our God, for thou art Good and lovest Mankind, let us worship and give glory, and exalt the Most honorable and glorious Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen. You have loved Christ from your youth, O blessed One, and for His sake you went to Holy Mount Athos and to the Holy Sepulchre. There by grace, by the gift of miracles, thou hast been enriched, and now thou hast returned to the land of Russia to thy people. You have strengthened the peoples of the Caucasus in the time of persecution by many prayers and miracles in Orthodoxy. Venerable Father Theodosius, pray to Christ God that the Lord may strengthen the people who live here, and protect our land with peace, and save all, for He is merciful. You gave your whole life to Christ God, Venerable Father Theodosia; you endured the feats of prayer, standing at the Holy Sepulchre, fasting, abstinence, foolishness, and His prison sentence to the end for His sake. In the same way that Christ also enriched you with long life and miracles, even to this day the people of our land flow to your relics in faith and receive what they ask for. Our Father Theodosius predivny, pray to the Lord God and the Master of all for the preservation of Russian Orthodoxy in the country, the pacification of peace and the salvation of our souls.
