O holy passion-bearer to the Tsar, Martyr Nicholas, the Lord hath chosen His anointed One, in order that He may mercifully and rightfully judge thy people and be the guardian of the Orthodox kingdom. You performed this royal service and care for souls with the fear of God. Testing thee, O Lord, as gold is in the furnace, suffer thy sorrows to be bitter, as Thou didst suffer Job the long-suffering one to suffer the deprivation and martyrdom of thy ambassador from the throne of the king. Having endured all this meekly, as a true servant of Christ, you now enjoy the feast of glory at the throne of all the Tsar, together with the holy martyrs: the Holy Tsarina Alexandra, the holy boy Tsarevich Alexy, the princesses Olga, Tatiana, Mary and Anastasia, and with your faithful servants, as well as with the holy Martyr Princess Elizabeth and all the royal martyrs and the Holy the Martyr Barbara. But since you have great boldness in Christ the King, and for His sake all suffered, pray with them that the Lord may forgive the sin of the people who did not forbid your murder, the king and Anointed One of God, and that the Lord may deliver the suffering country of Russia from the fierce atheists who were permitted for our sins and apostasy from God, and raise up the throne of Orthodox but He will grant us forgiveness of our sins and guide us to every virtue, so that we may acquire the humility, meekness, and love that these martyrs have revealed themselves to us, so that we may be worthy of the Heavenly Kingdom, and together with you and all the holy New martyrs and confessors of Russia, let us glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
