O most venerable and sacred head, most blessed Father Abbo Abramie! Do not forget your poor to the end, but remember us in your holy and auspicious prayers to God. Remember your flock, which you yourself saved, and do not forget to visit us, your children. Pray for us, holy father, for your spiritual children, for you have boldness for the heavenly King: do not be silent for us, crying out to the Lord, and do not despise us who honor you by faith and love, but remember those who are unworthy at the throne of the Almighty, and do not stop praying for us to Christ our God, for you were given the grace of prayer for us. We do not pretend that you are dead: If you were separated from us in body, but you are still alive after your death, you will always remain with us in spirit, protecting us from the arrows of the enemy and all the charms of demons and the machinations of the devil, our good shepherd. If your relics are not visible before our eyes, but your holy soul, with the angelic hosts, with the bodiless faces, and with the heavenly powers that stand before the throne of the Almighty, rejoices worthily. For to us, truly and after death, as I live and exist, we fall down and pray to you, that we may pray for us to the All-powerful God for the benefit of our souls, and that we may ask time for repentance and go up from earth to heaven without being chosen, but that we may be delivered from bitter trials, demons, princes of the air, and eternal torments, To all the righteous who have pleased our Lord Jesus Christ from time immemorial, to Whom all glory, honor, and worship are due, together with His Father without beginning, and with His all-holy and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.
