Holy Martyr Abramie, good soldier of Christ the King of Heaven, our most glorious helper and defender in sorrows and adversities! But nothing can separate thee from the love of the Lord Jesus, nor flattering promises of temporal blessings, nor reproach, nor torment from the evil enemies of the most holy faith of Christ; thou, like a lion, hast come forth to battle against the wolves of thought, the spirits of malice, who have moved the Bulgarian people of one tribe against thee for the sake of thy good confession, and Like an arrow of fire, thou hast smitten them by the power of the grace of the Holy Spirit, and strong as death in thy love for God. Even though thou didst shed thy blood for Christ our God, and didst destroy the temporal life, yet with an immortal soul, like an eagle, thou didst soar up to the heights of our Father’s abode, inheriting there eternal life, glory, and unspeakable bliss, and leaving us thy incorruptible remains, like a much-valued and fragrant vine. We believe, holy passion-bearer, that standing with the angels and all the saints before the throne of the glory of the Tri-Hypostatic God, you offer up fervent and God-pleasing prayers not only for us, for this holy monastery and our city, but also for the entire holy Church of Christ and for the Russian Orthodox state. We believe, most glorious wonderworker, that you, by the power of the almighty Lord Jesus Christ, through your holy relics, give out abundant gifts of grace-filled help for the salvation of all who flow to you in faith, and above all ask for the end of those who honor you with repentance, and help the infirm infants with all your heart, so that all of us, from small to great, may with one accord glorify the inscrutable greatness of goodness God’s will.
